For those of you wanting to further your work training and education in New Zealand there is the possibility to undertake an Internship. New Zealand Immigration offer a Student Trainee / Internship Visa which allows students from all over the world to undertake a 6 to 12 month placement at companies across New Zealand. The visa is only open to students who need to complete a work placement or internship as part of their Higher Education course.
.: Which Visa Do I Need?
The visa will you need is a General Work visa and you apply under the 'Student and Trainee Policy' It is open to residents of all countries and to apply you wil need to provide;
evidence of a job offer from a New Zealand employer that is relevant to your studies, evidence of enrollment on a course that requires a work placement, proof of funds to look after yourself when you arrive, xray certficate, meet certain health requirements.
